It's basically a port of my BlackBerry tracking app (
http://www.berrylocate.com) finally moved to android. Also decided to take advantage of the extra features in android to improve it somewhat.
So it's a tracking app, yes I know there are plenty, but none that met my needs, or that were easy enough to use that my mom could figure them out! Quite a few people use the blackberry version, so I'm hoping this one appeals too. It's all completely free of course.
Some of the features I hope will make it a winner:
Locate your phone or tablet.
View the location of your phone or tablet from another Android device or a PC.
View the location of your friends or family members.
Track devices using GPS or Network positioning to save battery or when indoors.
Share your location live on the internet.
Record waypoints as you travel.
View your location history by going back to a specific day and time.
Send an SOS with your location via SMS and email.
Set boundaries (Geo-Fences) which send an alert when crossed into or out of.
Set a speed limit which sends an alert when broken.
Create a trip using part or all of your days travels, and share with friends.
Set your tracking interval when moving or when stationary to optimize battery life.
I don't want to share the download link just yet, I'd rather do that once it's on the play store, but if anyone is keen I'll happily PM it to them.
