Working now. Complained about not being able to establish a DB connection. Shareforum also complained about MySQL being missing but that went away after refresh.

Ah yes, I see the notification in my email. I have something called Monit running, which watches the web server, database server and hard disk, and if anything goes down it gets restarted in max 10 minutes. That means I can sleep easy, and go on long bike rides without worrying about server issues  8)

Nope, that would be far too difficult to code, and probably just confuse all of the non-traders here, who are kind of the people I'd rather get interested in normal investing.

Would make it more interesting. I entered the investor challenge late. Yesterday actually. No value for me in a lot of stocks. Would prefer to be short. Ill have to wait it out then. We are going down thats for sure.

Are you a day trader by any chance? And can you quantify your statement that we are going down - may help me in my decisions to either buy/sell

My BBET40 is not changing. Value has been the same for a week now and I can see that the value has changed on google finance.

I have no clue what's happening with it. The google link is reporting the value at May 6th. This normally happens when a share code changes, but I can't find the new code. Can't even find it in my ABSA stockbrokers account, and Easy Equities is reporting the price as exactly the same as my system, R50.90.

This is really strange. But this morning it actually shows 0.02% increase. So maybe it is working now?  :wtf:
