The INDI has been the best "fund manager" for a while now, so I thought it would be interesting to see how it would rank. I've put it in and backdated the purchases to the closing prices of the opening day, and the first trading day of May.

My favorite Satrix. Ave is around 40% pa over a 3 year period and 37% over 5 years. Won't be surprised if it wins.

I saw that I missed a LDT for the indi on the 24th of June, so I added that to the LDT thread and it's now been paid. It's bumped the indi up to 15th spot. Hard to argue with that as an investment strategy...

Patrick where did you find INDI LDT, I've also missed it.

Had to go hunting for it. ABSA doesn't give me dividend notifications until the month after it was paid, but I saw some extra cash in my account.

on the left you'll see Document downloads, and under that you'll see dividend distribution announcements.
Looks like Satrix pays a dividend 4 x a year. I've added the satrix 40 to the LDT page too.

You are right Patrick, all satrix shares pay a divi and interest every quarter which suits me just fine.
Unfortunetely there is no option to get the divi's as shares and have them reinvested like Brait does.
As you can see below last divi was 20.67 cents

The current position (15th place) is with the dividend payment. If was 22nd before that if I remember correctly. Not bad at all.

Patrick, can you remember on which date you added STXIND to the leaderboard?

No but I backdated the purchases to the night of the opening day. All later purchases were done the night after the first days trading following a deposit, just to make sure there was no timing involved in the purchases.

Well it's official, the indi kicked my butt today :mad:
Luckily in real life I just buy the indi :TU:
