What the .... is going on in mining

Yesterday was a nightmare for me, and I don't see why? The mines had already taken a lot before, and the p/e is already very discounted. Is it time to get out or will things recover?

A number of things. The government is making the wrong noises, labour is edgy, the jse is in a bearish phase and demand for resources is down. It could be worse. If the rand was stronger we'd be in a far tougher situation.

Analysts at Goldman Sachs today lowered their average gold-price forecast for 2013 to $1,545 an ounce from $1,610 expected previously and to $1,350 an ounce from $1,490 in 2014.
