I'm looking for ways to import. Not so easy I'm afraid. I suppose we could copy and paste if a topic is of interest, but so far I can't find anything automated that would do it. I'm also not sure that would be legal/ethical.

another option to help limit spam would be to force new users to click a confirm subscription link via the email account they provided .... this will at least slow down the spam registrations

Looks like the guys at Sharechat have finally listened to us and removed the spam! Lets keep this one on the sideline just in case, think everyone still prefers the Sharechat website(me too actually)

Forums are made by where the members are. I've paid for the domain for a year, the hosting won't cost me a cent so I'll keep it running until this time next year at least.

Hmm.. I tend to agree. The change to the new Sharechat forum is like being in Disneyland - takes longer to find posts and more.

If it wasn't for you we would still sit with that shit forum. Just wish they could fix the damn search function.
By some miracle they've added TapaTalk support and that's the only reason I'm reading the posts again.
Their forum software still suck though and their Web hosts suck balls too.
Anyway, cheers for now.

The threat of losing business is often the only thing to get companies moving. If only it worked with MTN!
To help you guys out with the search, I've added a new google search bar to the top of my forum. That will search my forum AND the old sharechat forum. That way at least you'll be able to find old posts. Give it a try and let me know if it helps.

Geeze. jaDEB is the most crazy investor on both forums. Hell bent on loosing all his grandmother's, mother's and brother's money. Plus his own.
Gold is heavy and sinks faster than a stone. Where are you on the Leaderboard? Oh. There. Right at the bottom. Last I saw you were on top. The stuff you smoking is off man.

Thanks yeah, still early days, but so far it seems like I'm getting 2500 page views per day between the forum and the competition. I'm not sure how profitable they'll be, but I'm expecting to cover the server costs. Now hopefully a bunch more people will join so I can actually make a profit here (well not if I cost out my time of course :P, but at least money in rather than out!).
