Fighting continuing in Gaza, even through cease-fire.

In Ukraine separatist not releasing 251 bodies but choose to keep them in refrigerated train cars until ‘experts’ can examine them there.  Also not releasing any info on black boxes.

Dow ended +0.73%, Nas +1.57%, S&P +1.02%, futures negative.

In Asia this morning Nikkei closed, Hang Seng -0.2%, Shanghai -0.4%, Sydney +0.2%

States ended last night with Dow -0.28%, Nas -0.16%, S&P -0.21%, futures positive.

In Asia this morning Nikkei +1%, both Hang Seng & Shanghai  > +1.%  at break, Sydney flat.

T40 @ 7:41am  46 370 +70 pips (+0.15%)

VIX @ 12.81 +0.75 (+6.22%), F&G @ 37 ‘Fear’

Economic Calendar:

14:30 US Core CPI (MoM) pev 0.3%, exp 0.2%
16:00 US Existing Home Sales, prev 4.89M, exp 4.97M

Alsi yesterday -0.53%, T40 -0.60%.

Anglo American Plat to sell labour intensive SA mines and will be focusing on merchandised mines in future.  Recent 5-month strike, coupled with 20% increase demands culprits. Killing the goose that lays the golden eggs;  very short-sighted, trading temporary increase for future lay-off. Maybe Sibanye with Chinese investor backup to step-up, although they have a very different work ethic than locals imo, you know, honour, duty and benefit of all mankind.  Ja, ja I know, babbling – but I feel very uninspired atm so forgive me. :(

New highs for Eastplats, Sappi, Brait, RMBH & new intraday low for Exxaro @ 13500.

"Ja, ja I know, babbling – but I feel very uninspired atm so forgive me"...

My wife and I am in the engineering field, wife is at home, strikers forced the company she work for closed... us, we have to see on daily basis if we can get to work. Have been visited by these people 3 times.

So ja, feel the same as you.
