Today's Outlook

European futures down but not too much at the moment. US down but seeing they are still sleeping I will discount for now. A busy day with Euro GDP (11:00), Germany factory orders (12:00) US non-farm, unemployment and trade balance at 14:30. Maybe we might start off a bit wobbly but end the day in the green? What do you think?

I bought some satrix indi's in a dip a few days ago. Who would have thought they'd drop 5% in a few days! Oh well, they were bought for the long term...

Ready for a climb? We are surely oversold but that doesn't mean a climb has to come too soon.

Not feeling very comfortable with markets at the moment. No major economic data for today with German industrial production @ 12:00 and Bernanke has a dinner date at Feds Annual Fin Market Conference with usual speech @ 1:15am tomorrow morning SA time. Then there is North Korea. I don’t know how trigger happy Pyongyang area really is
but they have indicated it could be this Wednesday? Seeing it is the anniversary of Kim II-Sung’s birthday on 15th, which is usually celebrated with a show of military prowess, I'm a bit weary thus I will be shorting any upturn.

Friday was the day to be brave while others were fearful. Some major bargains to be had!
