Asia's having a good morning today. The US is down, particularly the NASDAQ. Apple, google and microsoft are taking a hit. Windows 8 seems to be heading the same way as Vista, I know a lot were hoping PNC would make good profits due to the renew cycle, but I'm anticipating the uptake won't be anywhere near as large as it could have been with companies opting not to upgrade.

I saw that. Sadly one officer killed.

Markets are good across the board, east and europe. JSE looking good too, specifically resources. Some brightness to contrast the weather outside.

Asian markets are lining the weakening yen. The Nikkei is up about 1.7% right not. jaDED is likely to wake up smiling, gold is having another good day.

Can't find a reason for markets' chirpyness today except maybe gold/yen/G20 but that's old news, thought UK downgrade would have more impact but seems not so.  Might be that the beast is only inhaling now so it can exhale again later ;D  Hoping all investors out there are fired up and ready to show us non-believers how to profit in these markets with competition starting today.  Good luck to you all, looking forward to learn from you  ;)

Edit: Chatting away, forgot what I was actually going to post, here goes:

US existing home sales @ 16:00, prev 4.98M, exp 5.01M

FTSE & DAX struggling, CAC40 just took a serious nosedive.

Numbers are down 0.6%, seemed to affect the US, but look at the nikkei go... up 1.9% today.

I'm waiting for the apple earnings tomorrow, because as you know the JSE follows apple  ;D (shock horror if that were true)
