"Tawana and AMAL are in the advanced stages of completing a feasibility study with off-take pricing, metallurgical and process engineering aspects of the study completed, and the mining engineering and infrastructure capital costs nearing completion. The results of the study are expected to be released within two weeks."

So looks like we are just waiting for the mining engineering and infrastructure capital costs to be completed. I think Primero has completed their bit of the feasibility study.

Go to Moneyweb's site and have a look at the small cap picks that were punted by Keith McLauchlan at the Money Expo on Saturday. I have known Keith and have interacted with him on purely an investor level and do not follow his picks like a slave and he will admit that he has got some wrong over the years - so read and make your own determination

Hi all

Any thoughts on COMAIR?

With their fleet grounded due to COVID it is obviously not a great time, but with SAA likely liquidation and very low oil prices is this not a good long term value pick*?
They have also derecognised the legal claim from SAA so that has washed through. They are changing technical servicing to Lufthansa from SAA which they expected to result in double costs for at least a year...but if SAA is liquidated that additional cost may fall away. My only concern is their cash position which could be larger.

*I have a long position in COMAIR but just interested in other opinions.

I recently bought a fair number of Comair shares - they may benefit from SAA's malaise, but, this will have to be a longer term shareholding as I believe it could take them 3 - 5 years to get back to current levels

They are indeed in Business Rescue - I've been buying more shares (even today prior to BR) and now hold 33,000 shares.
As posted previously I'm holding for the long term - my averaged price is R 1.42 but what ay happen with SAA could become a game changer for Comair or I could lose quite a bit of money

Too risky for me. Hope they come back from the brink as they are quite well managed. If they could get a few of the regional SAA/SAX routes, they could do very well.

As small caps, I hold

ACL - Think mid to long term this will go up with the building cycle, but will see what the Chinese get up to.
OCE - Not sure if this is really a small cap. Plan on getting out next time the share gets close to R70
SNH - Caught a falling knife there, first bought at R24 and again at R12, then bought a bunch at just over R1. Sold my initial investment worth when the price went back to R3.50. Will decide whether I hold or sell this one.

Is there any kind of reading one can do on picking small caps, or is it all 'gut feel' kind of stuff?
