Hi

If you are interested in investing in small caps please post your favourite picks and why.

I am interested in Winhold, Jubilee, Pallinghurst, Trustco, Silverbridge, Stellar, Calgro. Do you have any others ?

gcr:
Before you go diving into these shares have a look at their shares prices over the last 3 years and then decide Jubilee I lost interest in as they seemed to be going nowhere, Pallinghurst set up 5/6 years ago when Gilbertson was booted from Billiton and the share has gone nowhere - I think they still deal in precious stones which doesn't seem to excite the market. on your list I would probably only be interested in Calgro as historically they have been a solid company and seem to be well managed

Just my opinions - as to which ones I would select that subjective but for what its worth I hold shares in Rolfes,  Rhodes, Taste - all for longer term growth - 2 - 4 years down the road

PlatinumWealth.co.za:
TAS, Primier Fishing, Rolfes, Consolidated Infrastructure Group, AdaptIT

All in all, I will only buy Rolfes and Tas below 180

Orca:
CIL-- Relatively unknown company. Every 6m result comes with a trading statement warning of 20 to 50% increase in HEPS. April results will shoot the lights out as it has recently acquired Conlog for R850m. This will put her in the cross hairs of institutional investors. Low PE ratio making it good for long term.

ADI-- IT company involved in 38 countries. Great management and expects to make at least 1 acquisition per year. Has a very high cash surplus for the next acquisition that accounts for the PE ratio of 26. Following EOH management style.

PGR-- Financial services company. Unlike CML, makes money in up or down markets for investors. Low PE of 10 so good for long term. The next CML as I stated some time ago but has not quite woken up yet.

I hold all these in my real portfolio.

czc:
I hold ADI and SNV.

I have recently started eyeing out CSG.
