Not a bad bit of listening! To summarise for the others, since 2007 Julia has been investing into satrix with a lump sum of R60k and then every month R5k (+- 25% of her net). Since then she's upped that rate to 33% of gross and living on 33% so pretty much saving 50% of her net (says she earns R840k per year). She's now worth about R1.8m 6 years later at age 32!

Well if you believe in the advertorials in the masthead - you could win R 1.5 million there's your answer to financial freedom. Does anyone moderate these adverts?

Google chooses the ads, and uses it's info to make them different for different people. The one I see now is for a share trading course.

Red Hot Penny Shares. What a joke. When I was more stupid I joined them and received a booklet that showed charts that showed "Had you invested "here" with R1000" Showing a chart of the very bottom of a stock and "sold" here. Showing the very top of the chart. You would have made 100% gain.
Now with that gain, you could have invested in xyz at the very bottom again and sold at the peak at 200% gain. Cool aint it.
They should be banned by the FSB.

I started here with nothing and still have most of it left.

I like the section Patrick mentions about percentage savings required for x number of years working time. Really makes one wonder.
