Do you not operate your personal portfolio through a broker - if you do then approach them and find out whether you can get share prices live.
All my prices on my portfolio are live prices no 15 min delays bulls%%t

Not sure I understand what relationship you are trying to track, there is normally a list of shares with the highest volume transacted over the day, and a similar listing of highest value Rand values.
Are you looking for a list which will show the top 10 shares with the highest activity and the price range within that activity range?

Apologies, I want to have prices live to look at buy and sell of a share as below, my previous reply was incorrect. I need to see on a share the 3 buy prices and 3 sell prices.

Share X

Buyer 1000 @ R 40                                Seller 20 @ R42
Buyer 200 @ R38                                   Seller 1500 @ R43
Buyer 80000 @ R32                               Seller 10000 @ R48

I need to see the spread between the buyers and sellers on a specific share.

I am not aware of any broker or even the the JSE providing such a list of information, this is too granular a report as it would change every millisecond. The only way I can think that you could get there is to place these specific shares in a watchlist and then dive into each of the shares from time to time to get this info, many brokers provide this info down to a market depth of 5 but some you can explode to show the days trades to date. My brokers only show the last 10 trades, but before big N green swallowed them up they would show you the days transaction by deal
Hope this helps

Understood, thanks for reply.

If you buy a share, say 1000 off, and there is only 800 available at a price, you must be able to see what the next 200 will cost you.  But will have a look at what is available.

My site shows there is 3843 AVL shares available at R2.10  :-*, and I want to buy 5000, thus I need to see what the other shares will cost me.

Any buy/sell request on my account provides that information as well as any share within my existing portfolio - 5 deep buy/sell with volume. The number of lookups are limited to your contract level with them and extra lookups are charged accordingly.

Your broker is able to provide the information, at a cost.

I use a stock Broker, do not trade online, yes I know it is old school. But the advice I get when I make the phone call to buy or sell is worth it. i.e. I wanted to buy ABL, my broker advised me not to, I eventually convinced him and I bought only small amount. We all know where that ended up.

I am fortunate, my broker is also linked to me on steam, gaming software for online games, currently playing Advanced warfare ...  lol ... but he is also my firewall when it comes to stupid decisions. Let's face it, I know my job I do everyday, but he know more about investments and companies, as he is a stock broker, they do research and have people doing it for them.
