Pension vs Market
« on: October 28, 2014, 08:54:37 am »
I have 2 Pensions. 1 is larger which I will keep, other 1 is in preservation fund, smaller of the 2. I was thinking of cashing it up and adding it to my monies invested in the Market. The idea behind it is to have liquidity, as getting money out of Market is much easier than getting it out of preservation fund.

Any advise will be appreciated.

Just like you I have two, but my larger one is more liquid. Smaller one is also a preservation fund.

The Tax on cashing it up is huge, not sure how much but its big. What I do know, specifically relating to my preservation fund with AG, is that there is a specific amount, thinking it is something
like 20K that you can get as a once of never to be repeated again, without any tax complications.
