Title: Dividend ETFs
Post by: Hamster on January 06, 2016, 01:46:24 pm
OK so I know about the DIVTRX thread but I need help understanding something:

When I look at DIVTRX and STXIND on Bloomberg the "Last Divided" values are 27.26 and 46.06 respectively. Now going by the notion of more is better, is STXIND better for dividends? Is it just a fluke?

What do those numbers mean anyway? Percentage or cents?

STXIND's share price is 3x more than DIVTRX. For the dividends to be equal for both, then STXIND has to be 3x more cents per share (cps) and it is not as your figures show. STXIND is significantly lower.

I see. Cents per share which would explain why it is better than STXIND
