I was only joking with you if you are referring to my comment by any chance. nothing serious meant. I also sometimes see you posting on sharenet if Im correct.
I have sort of split my portfolio in 2, half in really good long term stable shares with share values that backup their value and my investment would grow over time but have short term flucutations that i accept.
The other half of my portfolio I play around with , but only with the good stuff, i.e. bil will climb and hit a high I will sell and buy something else that has dropped or either just sit and wait a bit and buy the same share back . I bought and sold bil for many years now, last sell was at R300 odd after having bought at R265.
So I could consider buying them again , but have instead bought something else that is a bit more oversold.
But I cant actualy state that i beat the market as i don,t keep those stats , But what I can say is that the value of shares are the same as the start of this year and I have bought myself a shitload of toys with the profits made
