Before you shoot me.....NUTRITION HOLDING

Nathan_Praetor:
I just checked out Nutritional Holdings.

In their audit results of February 2019 their revenue was R15,199,000.00 with Operational Expenses of R18,895,000.00. Resulting in a net profit loss of R3,617,000.00. However during the audit of February 2020, revenue stood at R40,829,000.00 which resulted in net profit of R1,323,000.00.

Market Cap is standing on R137,433,682 according to Sharenet. The spread on this share is also quite low.

Personally speaking, I would not recommend buying this stock at this current stage, however I would not disregard this share as an investment option. Nutritional Holding also deal with Cannabis extracts, oil and other cannabis related products, which in fact can make the company very valuable in the future.

Finance Minister, Tito Mboweni, has shown a lot of interest in legalizing cannabis for trading as this will give our economy a boost. When this law has been amended, you should definitely consider investing in companies, such as Nutritional Holding, that trade with cannabis related products.

I hope this is useful.

Cheers Nathan.

Appreciate the info and your time.  :TU:

The Cannabis Story - It sounds like a panacea  (a cure-all) - I hope it works, but I don't see any miracle drug, just a supplement, like an OMEGA 3. Anyone seems to be able to make and sell these products.

I'll keep my eye on this one. The announced order book looks good, but I'll wait until a whale jumps in first.

Thanks !!

P.S. - They've just added to the news feed an additional purchase of a company in the UAE
 - Cannabis in the UAE?
 - Where did all this money come from? The company's been making a loss for the last few years??  :wtf:

My considered opinion - steer clear of this business
I invested in the company way back in 2005 when they started with their feeding parcels foe school children.
However they never made a success of this business and always seemed to have excuses as to why they didn't make a success of their business.
They have tried to reinvent themselves numerous times and yet their share price reflects their successes.
I originally bought in at about 6 to 10 cents a share and ultimately bailed out when they went to 3 cents a share which was eons ago

There are far better other companies on the JSE - try SHFF if you want to be a risk taker
