Basil Read - BSR
« on: August 26, 2024, 11:10:36 am »
did anybody here own Basil Read (BSR) shares?
From what I understand, they were initially halted from trading and have now been delisted on the JSE.

Would one now be able to claim the losses from your trading gains?

Basil Read's shares were suspended on June 20, 2018, when the company voluntarily entered business rescue. The company's market cap at the time was R59.8 million, down from R2.9 billion in 2007, when its shares reached R38.80. In September 2023, Basil Read was placed under business rescue again after filing a resolution under the Companies Act 71 of 2008.

As of July 8, 2024, Basil Read's listing was removed from the JSE, and shareholders became shareholders in an unlisted company. The last day to trade the company's shares off-market was July 2, 2024
