Was I hearing correctly on BDTV last night that one of the technical analysts said to go short on CML as a pull back to R90 or below is possible?

Orca, where do you see it going by Sept? Did you give a price of about R140 before?

Thanks,

Although GIJ has been doing really bad lately i believe it can turn around, at the price it costs the investment is worth the risk for me, just the big question of how long,

Why risk your investment, just buy CML

A while back the CML price was predicted to peak at R92 so with it hitting R90 today do you still see more upside and if so how much?

I once owned 7 RA's with OM and they showed me these big fancy numbers of Rands that I was going to receive on maturity but when I asked my broker some years ago for a review of the policies and their eventual worth I was shocked and somehow managed to get out of them and any cash refund I put into property and made far more with that investment

I wouldn't touch them with a bargepole!

There seems to be a lot of hype presently on the silver price and the buying of silver ETF's are there any views on it? Where do you think the price is heading and what, if any, are the best silver ETF's to buy?

I've been waiting on the INDI pulling back a bit to buy but it's gone to R54 today and I saw on an email today from Just One Lap that they have buy signals triggering on the INDI so is the opinion on here that it's going much higher or do you think a pullback is still possible?

Do you think the DBX EU is a buy at present as I see it has pulled back a fair bit? I'm overseas at present so can't follow the market too often so would welcome your comments

I've also been watching this pullback on the Indi would you advise putting in an order to buy at around R47 or do you think it won't get that low? Or could it even go lower?

I'm always getting, as I'm sure many of you do too, these spam emails telling how you can make money on the internet but has anyone ever actually gone into any of these schemes and made money?

I transferred an amount in Rands a few weeks ago to an account in the IOM which was converted into GBP's and I lost R14000 on the transfer so told my broker to hold the Sterling and let's see where the Rand is going and right now if I change it to Rands (as I have a Rand acc with my broker) it would turn it into a R15000 gain! So in effect it would be a R29k swing but where do you see the Rand going? Is it going to get even weaker or should I cash in now?

@Yozzi, here's a nice video/presentation on JustOneLap on where Simon Brown foresees the 2014 market http://www.justonelap.com/webinarDetail.asp?intWebinarID=186

Register and have a watch. He talks of the various DBX ETF's and in particular the US MSCI which he's watching closely, good talk in my opinion.

Many Thanks Nios, that's a good website and some good info on there. My funds are offshore so will look at all the options and decide soon where to invest and if I could achieve the 35% with the Indi I'd be more than happy!

This brings me back to my question on another thread - if you were to invest a large amount for a 3-5 yr period what would you choose? This is my predicament at the moment as I've already invested quite a bit in the Indi and in various shares and I'm looking at diversifying a bit by buying another fairly 'safe' ETF.

I'm nowhere near as clued up as you guys are so the ETF's seem to be a good way for me to invest without having to worry about when I should buy or sell all the time! The other alternative would be, of course, to go with the fund managers like Coronation, A Gray, etc and lock the funds up with them for the duration.

We were slowly hijacking the STX INDI thread so hence starting a DBX one! Has anyone else invested in these Tracker ETF's with good results?
