Shares / Media24's Welkom Yizani trading platform

My mom holds some Welkom Yizani shares. We were very happy with the dividend paid out a few months ago when Novus was unbundled. However, the process for registering on their trading platform is very onerous. So I'm looking for someone who has successfully registered, to give me some tips.

Thanks for pointing that out. This article in Marie Claire claims she's the wealthiest woman in South Africa without any citations.

So how would you do a more accurate assessment of her net worth? I welcome your suggestions.

Recently there's been few articles referring to Sygnia CEO, Magda Wierzycka, is a billionaire like this one and this one.

Sygnia's market cap is currently R1.9 billion. And according to their 2017 annual report she owns 22,691,333 shares, and at Friday's closing price that's R277,968,817. She's also not listed in any of the "richest in South Africa" lists published in various news media.

Help me confirm whether Ms Wierzycka is indeed a Rand billionaire or not.

I use Easy Equities as my broker. When selling shares, they deduct their fees and VAT. There's also " Securities transfer tax and administration" so my question is this. What other taxes do I have to pay SARS when I submit my personal income tax returns?

I usually read news websites like Moneyweb, Biznews, Fin24, etc. And I use ShareData.co.za to track my portfolio on a daily basis. However, I don't have a good way to track the dividend payout dates. What do you recommend?

Steinhoff is selling off some assets. Once there's a criminal case, you could determine whether the company could possibly survive. I bet Christo Wiese is sure to try his best to keep the boat floating. However, I would only take a bite of STAR, which seems unaffected by corruption.

Maybe there are some people here with experience using CIPC and doing company registrations. I have one Closed Corporation and one (Pty) Ltd. I want to sell the assets of the CC to the (Pty) Ltd. What are the basics steps for doing this without using an Accountant?
