Interim dividend number 2: 50 SA cents per share.
Last date to trade cum dividend: Friday, 15 August 2014.
Sterling and US dollar conversion date: Monday,
18 August 2014.
Shares commence trading ex-dividend: Monday,
18 August 2014.
Record date: Friday, 22 August 2014.
Payment of dividend: Monday, 25 August 2014.

Normally it is based on how much money is left, the liquadators and Lawyers then takes however long it takes to use the last bit of money, then once the money is finished, it is gone.

Yes, I also read it like you have it. Except maybe the rights might have a value, i.e you can sell your rights to buy shares in the new bank.
