@Nios, it sometimes happens late at night that the bloomberg link throws out some zeros. It fixes itself by morning so I don't worry about it. To stop people buying free shares there's a restriction in place.

I've been waiting for the last few weeks for Easy Equities (https://www.easyequities.co.za/) to officially launch. Now they have and I'm considering switching. No monthly or annual fee and only 0.25% transaction fees sound great. Anyone else have any opinions?

Putting it in the bond does mean you pay no tax. Unit trusts are traced like shares. Keep it there for three years and you only pay capital gains tax on the profits, after the R30k exemption. So if you by for R300k and sell for R330k you'd pay no tax assuming you never sold anything else for capital gain that year.
