Hi O..
nice to see you again..
Well trading the alsi is never easy..It can make or break you!!
Purpose of forum is to teach you one thing and one thing only....first 3 years is to preserve capital!!
Once the expereince comes in and you last the 3 years school fees, you will soon be one of the 5 % who can tame this beast!
I have now been trading the alsi for about 30 months max...and i can confidently say that the fact im still in the game makes me a better trader.
About 3 members did lose all thier capital and quit..Other 5 i say make consistent profits...balance hard to tell..We try to show all our entries with exits...so no past the event trades posted so we all learn along. Each member shares his trading system and all help improve etc...Therefore its a closed private forum.
Sharechat is history due to one and and only one member and you know who.
I do not charge for my services and am just doing it for my passion....fully fully committed as im a full time trader. I stop trading cfds etc and give this 100% of my time and commitment. We have members such as Farouk, Argento , JJ and a few others from the sharechat forum...
and as Argento rightly said, ' Its a privilege and not a right to be part fo the HDB forum"
Let me say, i have kicked out quite a few free loaders who i feel where not adding value by catching a free ride on my forum. My motto is "Share and you will receive". If you only want to take, then i have no place in my forum..

Interesting how on some forums - investors are confused as to what the shares (AXL) are worth - and think that they can add the Preference Share Capital to the Ordinary Share Capital - and hence they think that the Ordinary share is cheap at 40-60c. Why would you want to pay more for cash than NAV - the NAV is around 36c - this should be discounted and therfore once the short squeeze is over the share will drift down into the 25-40c area
As for the Prefs (AXLP) - well they need to know when they are to be paid their first dividend !! - At R30-R40 they are priced for no dividends for the next 4-5 years !!!!!
And that is why we call it a market - constant price discovery - opposing views and often "anchoring"
Amazing how people anchor the olde ABIL - and therefore will not touch them despite new directors, new strategy, no bank and over R1.5bn cash on consolidated Balance Sheet
So what if the preference shares (AXLP (ABLP previously)) in a months time are trading at R24 and the company resumes paying dividends related to Prime of say R 8 p.a
- that's a yield of 33% - and the main shareholders remain Allan Gray, Coronation and PIC - one cannot say I will never touch that share again !!
