Monsie is kicking a$$ in the IC Nice

Yip, well done, 2 great calls! I wouldn't be surprised if he is on top for a very long time.

Looks much better, thanks.

Can you just clarify this (do you tax losses as well):
Tax on profit (reflected on leaderboard): -R60 624,36

@Patrick, can you please check out my portfolio as it doesn't look like.

This is an example:

Cash on hand (including dividends): R712 186,23 (143.65% of portfolio)

I sold some shares at a loss and this could be the cause.

It might be that the new figures are not in line with the prospectus issues on listing (I'm too lazy right now to check).

IIRC ... AVL was always a long term play.

The DY for small caps are very (sometimes even extremely) volatile, so the above list needs to be taken with a pinch of salt.

Read the listing prospectus where they indicate that the shares they issued to the sellers have certain conditions attached to them. Conditions like only being able to sell a small percentage of their shares after a certain time. Many ppl think this is keeping the share price down. These conditions are still in place for at least 3 years (IIRC).

Thinking the same thing here. Do the same thing with LON as I am doing with FDP. It is so cheap that I don't have to risk a lot of money to get a lot of shares

Well, if FDP keeps on issuing shares, it won't be cheap anymore.  :(

@Fawkes85 ... can I ask why you bought FDP? There is potential but the original sellers still have alot of shares than seemingly are being dumped onto the market where possible, thus keeping the price down. Added to this, even more share are being issued.

Thanks Patrick for an insightful article. I did a similar exercise (I'm not very good with working out interest in Excel) and played around with the figures a bit. What I find is that the difference is way different if the interest rate is changed. The doctor will have more money than the model if the interest rate is 9 or below if my calcs are right. Can you apply this to your example and confirm if my calcs are right.

Anyone else think Eqstra offers massive value?

They have massive debt as well, so be careful.

Were we allocated 200K this morning instead of 100K?
