The euro has clearly suffered because of Friday night’s events plus the continued talk of the European Central Bank extending their monetary policy to further boost the Eurozone economy is also undermining it. The net result of the euro weakness is that sterling is close to levels last seen 8 years ago against the euro and the US dollar is getting ever closer to parity.

Your numbers are quite correct Mr_D. I do it in Reuters but choose JSE stocks in ZAR.
I screen grab and crop it in "Paint" and "Save As".
Here, I Click on "Attachments" then "Choose File". It goes to Windows Explorer and when I locate it, I click on it and "Open File".
It will then appear here in the box next to "Choose File". Then post.

The chart of DBXJP vs STXIND looks just as great for the STXIND over a 5 year period. The DBXJP has only done better this year.

To get the chart to show percentages, I had to compare it to another stock so I chose S&P500. It is in ZAR terms plus one has to take into consideration that the dividends are not included.

@Fawkes85. You can remove Peregrine from your list. Income from performance fees is mainly from high net worth individuals and institutional investors that do not have the expertise in hedge funds or derivatives. Performance fees constitute a small part of their earnings.
Peregrine houses one of South Africa’s leading derivatives, equity and prime broking operations through Peregrine Securities.
Broking and structuring business Peregrine Securities benefited from increased trading volumes in its specialist areas of prime broking and derivative broking and structuring.

This chart is for the naysayers on MBB that want links because they do not believe me. I have been allowed back on after being banned for promoting this type of investment above UT's and RA's.

This clearly shows an ave gain of 40% over 5 years.

A return of 30% for this year is not to be scoffed at. My benchmark is the INDI25 or STXIND has had a return of 20% in this time frame. The ALSI was much less at 5%.

All my family and friends have UT's because they do not know how to invest directly on the JSE.
My Boet is with Allan Gray and I sure bet he is wondering how I managed to retire early and comfortably. This must have been a great surprise to him as he always thought I was a washout with no prospects for the future.

The commies are actually the smallest party in the leftist coalition so no problem. All people are jubilant here.

Portuguese Government Falls As Socialists, Communists Topple PM. Euro currency will be on par with the USD soon. Communists have agreed not to exit Euro.

I doubt if DIVTRX with it's more than 40 stocks will be able to beat the STXIND with it's 25 stocks. It is a known fact that the more stocks you hold, the less growth you get but the plus is that it will be less volatile.

The selloff was overdone and she does look like a buy at these levels but I don't think she will shoot the lights out again.

I am getting a bit nervous with DIVTRX as STXIND is beating it by far and I have not yet worked out the diffs in fees and dividends between the two.
At this stage I am hoping that the lower cost and higher divies of DIVTRX will at least equalize them.
My benchmark has always been STXIND and so far only 3 of 5 stocks has managed to outperform it over the past year.

You never buy LON. You only short it. Same with KIO.
