Just got all my ducks in a row this weekend. Printed out what I could but will give my accountant my Login details if she needs more info.
Looks bad atm as I really churned my account for 4 years. Mixed trading with investing on the same account.
We live and learn.

339 Competitors and only 4 active on the forum. Come on guys. Get it going. Ask questions. Diss people. Argue. Whatever but get it alive. I have tried to post as much as possible to keep it interesting even though my posts might be boring.

not sure I'm following you.... AFAIK, with shares, if you are a private entity, you are only liable for tax on any gains once you sell

That's just what I did. Sold and bought back in at every "bad news" to protect my money.  :wall:

I was a total noob with tax and investing/trading. I was under the impression that if you realize a gain and you keep it on the JSE, it is NOT "money in the pocket" as I did not withdraw it. So no tax.
How wrong I was. Stoopid me.
Now I have to reconcile tax back to 2007. Doing a "Voluntary Disclosure" will not help as they would say that they would have picked up the error anyway at some stage. This means that I have to pay interest and fines plus the 40%.
Where is van Stadens bridge?

Getting a bit worried about MoneyMaker. No more posts and she has not used her R100k or her divi to reinvest. Hope she is ok. Very prone to outbursts on forums. Highly stressed perhaps.

:wtf: where did you get banned from?  :wall: You are welcome in my Sandbox any time.
Thanks jaDEB.  :) Got banned from MyBroadBand forum. They were all shouting at me all the time so I said something in anger I think. Anyway, on the MBB Group I am winning so they can all now smell my farts as I run ahead of them.
Sorry Patrick. I don't mean you were one of them but use a nose plug for now.

Thanks guys. Will skip it then. I thought that the higher the NAV of property stocks, the higher the PE. CCO has some prime property in London.

Is the diffs in the PE not due to the ZAR value?

That done. I will post a comparison chart with CCO and CML tomorrow and you will see the similarities. CML, the best performing stock vs CCO, the second best.
CCO has a very high PE ratio but that is normal due to the high asset value of the properties they own.

CCO is a SA Co. that owns prime property in London so a good ZAR hedge. I also never heard of them until that table of biggest gainers was posted. I will sell MTA. My kids are skyping from the UK so must go.

Capital & Counties it will be. Good long term performance and the least volatile. Just what I have been looking for. Needs a good dip though as the exchange rate has given it a boost.

Don't talk too soon Patrick. CML does on occasion go too high above the sma but she is scared of heights and will retract back. The higher she goes, the longer the fall. This is one stock that respects the 20SMA and hopefully, as she normally does, she will bounce off it.
ATM she is pushing the BB up higher than the SMA can follow and this is not good.

Orca my screen just went blank, how am I doing?  ;D

Oh dear. .....I'm not forgetting that 3% I lost due to not being able to register for most of the day though. :LHST:

She's determined to reach 1c. Buying this is like gambling and you will loose. Only buy up trending stocks on dips.
