Omnia. Another great stock. Look at it's chart. Seems as if nothing bothers her and just keeps going up. PE +-13.
I have compared it to STXINDI and included my CML as she just looks too high and should be lower and worries me. Sell and buy OMN and OCE? What to do!!!

tgg said that he uses half of his portfolio to "play around with". That means he does not hold for the 3 year period so his whole portfolio will be seen by SARS to be trading stocks. His gains will then be added to his income or his losses will be deducted from his income.

Had he sold after 3 years, his gains will be separate from his income. He will pay CGT after the R30k exclusion on his total gain.
If he had a loss after the 3 year period, then this loss will carry over and offset from any future gains.

I don't understand how jaDEB got away with paying CGT as I know that he trades his stocks. He did it on efiling and the calculation was automated so perhaps it will be picked up at a later stage. (not sure jaDEB so don't worry).

MBB is the Mybroadband forum. CML has changed her character since the volumes and trades have doubled so now she won't listen to me anymore. I think she is also shouting at me.

Thanks jaDEB. Very cool of you to share your box. They shouted at me in the other forum. Then they banned me from MBB forum. Now they shouting at me here.  :wtf:
They can't all be wrong, so it must be me.  :(

Nooooo MoneyPenny. You can't post good results here. You will get told that you are arrogant and stuff. I toned down since I was called bad names on the competition thread.
But since you insist, I lost 45% in my Managed Account during the crash of 2008/9 so had to get it back asap by my own. Found 1 stock and did 65% the 1'st year and 73% the next. Added 2 more stocks for safety and did 119% in 2012 ex divies. This year started well then tapered off.
So 3.5 years of beating the Indi so far but can it last? We will see.

How can you say that about me tgg :frustrated:
My remarks to jaDEB are tongue in cheek and he knows that. We have been members of the other forum for many years together.
The competitive remarks between me and Patrick are just light hearted banter and not bragging.

I will now go and sit in jaDEB's sandbox for awhile. He did after all invite me.  :'(

Well, so far so good Patrick. I tend to agree with you that is why I'm thinking of switching all my stocks to the Indi soon. You might beat it over 1 year or perhaps 2 at most. Bar the 2008/9 crash, it has had no corrections to speak of in over 10 years. I doubt if there is a stock on the JSE that even equals that.

Yeah. I made 2 good choices and 1 bad one. Temporarily bad anyway. Had the same stocks in the Sharenet competition and won the yearly. Perhaps they are burned out now.
Took me months of research to find them and Patrick beats me with luck and guesses. :(

Patrick. I see you are briefly above me now. My MTA has dipped and has bounced off a double support level ie the tech level and the bottom BB that happens to be at the same level. So it's up for me from here.

Read somewhere this weekend that GP will drop below $1000 soon. With the ZAR weakening this will be a disaster for gold mines. Most marginal grade deep mines cannot operate profitabily at $1300 or less with ZAR at 10.

The markets are verry jittery so Draghi will not say anything to upset the markets. Then again, the markets might get spooked by what he "doesn't say".

As the Analyst said on Friday's Business News. If the numbers are good, the markets will see the QE easing off earlier and sell off and then realize that 'Good Numbers" means a recovery. Confusion reigns.
USA up on the news and the rest down. We down over 2% so I expect an up day on Monday.
