Here is a 3 year chart of EOH and OMN compared to the Indi. It is quite clear which will perform the best over the next 4 to 6 months. (my time frame).
Also, it can be seen why I would add OMN to Indi after I'm done with active investing. That extra 10 to 15% boost.

Been checking for a replacement for my CML today again. EOH seems like it according to the charts. Now must still check sector PE and fundamentals.
OMN and OCE are good but 3 to 5 year chart shows that they are stuck in an upward trend much lower than EOH. OCE will get a boost upwards due to their recent acquisition and overtake OMN with the next results.

I only invest in past performance trend/momentum stocks so when I eventually retire, I will only have STXIND in my portfolio and will add some OMN for that extra gain.

Correct. No car in Portugal as I can't drive on the wrong side. All I need is my Fishing Rod as I will be living in the Old Town Center where the markets are. If there are no fish caught , no prob. On the way back home I will just buy fish from the market and some Port Wine and I'm good.

So Yozzi. I feel for you as I went through the same. Lost R150K on my FX gold and R350k on the JSE in 2009. Got it back though with staying out of miners. Scored 3 fold since.
Consensus is SELL and put your money stocks that go UP.

Yo Yo Yozzie. Why wait so long to ask. Invested R539K and have R161K left. That is a 70% loss.  :frustrated: We could have worked out an exit and regain strategy for you. A bit late now but as I said, Coronation is expecting an upturn and they can't afford to be wrong as they do Pension Funds and Medical Aid Funds.
So you either hold out or cut your losses and invest in stocks that have made good acquisitions recently. Cutting losses will take you 2 to 3 years to get it all back.

I did post a chart just above here today. Have a look at it. A turning point perhaps.

I can see why Coronation acquired 5% of AGL.

I have financial freedom. My car is a 2005 model and paid for. Why buy a new one when the old one is still good? Only 71k on the clock so good for another 7 years.
Don't have to think about what to wear as I only have 2 pairs of jeans, 4 shirts and 1 pair of takkies.
Our neighbour has 2 cars, a high maintenance wife and all the bling you can think of but is he happy? No. Nothing is paid for.
I'm happy as I have no debt and even lend my neighbours a couple blue notes every month.

From a high paying job with a string of credit cards and Fashion house cards I went from big bragger to nothing in a flash. Bought a butchery and lost all my Provident Funds and cash within 3 months. The butchery went bang.
I then cut up my cards and paid off my dues. That was 16 years ago. Now I have no cards and owe nobody nothing and will keep it that way.
This has rubbed off on my kids over the years and they only buy with cash.

You are correct gcr but only for "your" lifestyle. It differs from person to person. I personally have friends that recently retired with Provident Funds of R1.2 and R1.5M (no pensions) and with their homes paid off, they still live in comfort after 2 to 3 years. Not sure about their long term "comforts" though as they know nothing about investing.
I have been living off R12 to R15 000 pm after tax and lack for nothing. I don't even want to buy a house. I rent a fully furnished flat with good sea views and enjoy free fishing and free sightseeing and once a week an eat out. No smoking. Lots of beer though.
Now, my aim is R2.5M that I hope to achieve this year and switch to Indi. Of the 35% ave gains, I will only use 6% pa. That will give me a good leeway for a 50% correction.

jaDEB's on tablets again. Perhaps go for Cipla now. :D

Been checking out OMN all morning. Looks like a great Co with good continuous earnings. Had my trigger finger ready to sell half my CML but even though it is at all time highs, buyers are still scrambling in with good volumes. It should go down with the market tomorrow so I'll see next week.

I will eventually switch to the Indi but I need to make my target first. At this rate it should be November if all goes well. Then I can sit back and relax without worrying about money and stocks. A correction of 50% would not affect my standard of living. Been playing with Patrick's calculator.

I usually have my share chat on the wd forum as I have got to sort of know a few guys there. Never anything serious though
No prob tgg, as long as you keep posting. :TU: I only trolled you to keep it going. After all, it was me that said " come on guys. Post even if you diss people, brag or ask questions". And here goes:

gcr has a good idea there and I hope jaDEB takes note.

CML has always averaged 65% pa and this shot up to 130% over the past year. If she carries on doing well, it will most certainly not be 130%. Back to 65% I think. So why not decrease my risk and sell half and buy OMN and or OCE?
jaDEB, OCE is great but I prefer OMN as she is well fertilized and growing steadily at 70% pa.
