The Investor Challenge / Re: investor challenge

I believe if it is on the market then it should be available for competition. If some1 kick your @ss using a 2c share, then so be it, cause if it was real he still would have kicked your @ss.

Nobody of sane mind will buy R800k worth of 2c stocks with other peoples pension money. Do you think that you will be able to sell R1m in a 2c stock? Don't think so. Perhaps at 1c but it will take ages. Half of the old people would have died by the time they get any money.

The FSB will revoke his licence and most definitely Saiyan's for misappropriation of clients money.
Patrick, you should act as the FSB and do the same. Revert the trades back into cash with 2% interest. You'l get my vote.
I would say no penny stocks. Penny Stocks are stocks under R10, $10,€10 etc. as Prof Google told me.

In my view Dvr has just dissed himself off the competition by adding R100k worth of 2c stock. Sad as he was doing so well. Does he not read the posts here about these penny stocks?

Shares / Past performance and future?
« on: August 04, 2013, 07:11:26 pm »
Past performance is a good indicator of future performance.

I started a thread on this years ago on the other site and it became very busy with many pages of negative posts condemning my method.

Now looking at the top performers in the Leaderboard, I see that the top guys are using this method!!! And by the way, I am waaay ahead with using the same stocks since inception using this method on the other site.
Perhaps not for TKG or BIL. They will not last long. They are still negative on the long term.

That Past Performance thing that you always see on all financial websites is only there to protect themselves.

I am not convinced that this share will shoot the lights out - it made some of its profits on exchange rate differences and in some cases it's quotas have been reduced. The share was trading at R 79.50 on 25/06/2013 so I do think at current levels it is fully priced having increased quite dramatically in just over a month. Its P/E and future P/E are both above 16 which in their sector may or may not be acceptable
They won't let the Glenryke label issue get them off buying the fishing rights and quotas. This acquisition will reflect positively in their next results and even more in time to come.

Does that also work if you buy Pfizer?
:TU: :))
Or SAB but they would get very volatile.

I always thought that if your stocks do not perform, you have to reprimand them to get them going. Works sometimes but I just found the golden bullet.
Add Omnia to your portfolio. She has enough fertilizer to share with her new found buddies in her stable to make them all grow.
Since adding OMN, they all going up.  :LHST:

Yes. Sentiment prevails as always but she broke through on high volumes. :TU:
This is a perfect example of resistance and breakthrough. Traders that bought at the first peak got disillusioned with the long dip and waited it out. They sold at even. The second peak at the resistance line. Once these sellers were gone, she carried on up through the resistance line.

For the STXINDI investors. She has broken through the resistance.

Perhaps I should give you more clarity. A conservative portfolio would have a portion of cash, money market funds and other low performing safe instruments included. This is to protect the investors from market crashes.
Had you been in a conservative portfolio during a market crash like the 2008/9 crash, you would not have lost as much as the Indi that is 100% equities. The biggest 1 day crash was -22%.
Now we, as active investors and watch the markets can do 100% equities for much larger gains as we can sell when the market crashes. Most UT's and pension funds ride out the crashes.

Hi guys. Im quite new to this. How would SatrixINDI work as an education investment, compared to the edufocus and other education investments like Old Mutual. From what I can see, the INDI is quite reliable with 3 times the growth
Not sure what you mean but perhaps edufocus and Old Mutual are ultra conservative as in pension fund investing.
FSB does not allow 100% equities in pension funds. The Indi is 100% equities. FSB has recently alowed them to invest more equities for the extra growth.

Correct. But still it could have gone down. Hindsite does help.
Ten cents is still okish but the guys are still buying 1c stocks that might get suspended. Did they not read the introduction to the competition?

What can one possibly learn from penny stocks? It is mostly gambling. You might learn that you can loose most of your investors money or make a lot. Most importantly is that you will not learn that in the real world, with R400k, it will take you weeks to get filled and months to sell all.
It took me 3 weeks to sell AET at 3c and I only had R8k in it.

No no no jaDEB.  :frustrated: Must I always shout at you? They must pretend its REAL money. That way they will be more careful with investing.
