Someone want to explain how you can lose more when you're short than when you're long? I always thought you could gear your longs and therefore also lose more than you have invested.
Longs & Shorts are both geared - you 'win' quicker with a short 'cause people react quicker when things go bad, they pull the plug on emotion, so does the neighbor and so on an so forth - the whole house of cards come crashing down super fast. I find longs tend to move up much slower.
If you don't have a stop loss in place and things turn against you, (doesn't matter long or short) it first eats up your trading account, then you move into the red (margin call) and it will keep on and on and on until you sell/buy (at a serious loss) - and for good measure, you have to pay whatever is owed before the next closing day. - serious stuff indeed.

I chose to ignore you, reason being I’m not sure if you are the real deal or looking for a new market place. I truly hope that you do stick around to contribute and that you’re not only interested in our email addresses for those “time-sensitive-act-now-once-in-a-lifetime-opportunities”.
Trust is earned you know, not given after a few lines typed on a public forum. Well, speaking for myself here of course.
