Stadio +10.71%  - {Hope this one will become an acknowledged and respected SA University abroad – in case you didn’t know – no SA University (or school for that matter) is recognized unconditionally abroad anymore since 2010  (except Engineering which also lost its status 2014) – If you apply abroad with a post 2010 University Degree, you will have to pay mega bucks for each degree (max 5) for Quality Assessment from your potential new home’s government/uni, they assess, test and tell you where you fit standard wise at their university.  Next step, you do a bridging course at their uni depending results, anything few weeks, months, year.  Same for SA schools, make sure ‘international’ grading is really ‘international’ – if it is a local SA Board (like some IEB), you will go through same story. (Don’t ask teachers, promise you she’s probably clueless).   Point is, the exam paper has to literally come from overseas and must be marked and overseen by overseas agency – no SA involvement).  For acknowledgement, it must be something like CIMA – 100% UK or in the case of a school something like Cambridge IGCSE) – Just saying – make sure, get right information, differs for government to government but from what I can tell, this is how we do it now.  Yes I know, was a shock to my system as well}.   Anyway.

I invested in a uranium miner (Atlatsa) a Friday morning on 11/3/11 while the tsunami was happening & right before the Fukushima nuclear disaster – I never made the connection between tsunami in Japan and nuclear – (why would I?) lost it all – still have those shares, worthless though but still a priceless lesson.  How is that for luck?
