but were there losses on other shares in the same time?

Losses were for mediocre shares with small exposure like AET, WEZ, JBL, IPS, ATL (prev another name, can't remember now) and one coal producer that was 'hot' at the time.  Also got in again later with UUU (biggest loss 50%), I left SOL by the roadside cause of non-performance, at least too slow for me and TKG, but got VOD shares as consolation.

And specially for jaDEB, morning report:

Sun International plans $300 mln gaming complex in Pretoria  :TU: (Hope it is a beautiful one)

JOHANNESBURG (Reuters) - South Africa's second-largest casino operator Sun International Ltd plans to build a $300 million entertainment complex in the Pretoria region, it said on Tuesday.

Sun International, which plans to shut down another casino in the region, will build a casino, hotel, conference centre and an indoor facility for concerts.
The development, which could take 36 months to complete, is subject to regulatory approval, the company said. 2013-07-09 18:04:39

Yes you can.

I've done these previously, are no expert and these are actual numbers not wishful thinking or is 1-2 years not regarded as long term?

And the other requirement ‘consistently’ – don’t know if it is consistent, moved on to trading since then. Gosh wonder why I did that, there’s got be a lesson in here somewhere.

These were not the only ones but most memorable ones; yes there were losses too but nowhere close to being equal in comparison to the winners.

Doubters, please don’t make me get out my archives for this.

So it's up for me from here.

Love your confidence Orca.  What happened to ZaiyanZ, can't find him/her? And I guess, well done P although I have trouble thinking of you and O apart like this. ;D

I also recognise a few ex-PSG online forum contenders, or maybe just new people with same names perhaps?  i.e. Sallie, Frikkie, Shi (Shi1)?

Confusing times indeed.

Asia all down between 1% to 2.55% (Shanghai).  US futures barely green, IGM T40 +194, Draghi speaking 14:30.

Egypt market up 7.29%

I wonder if the same would happen here if we were to oust our president ::)

Think it will have to be with bribery, SADF not able, willing, disciplined enough, you choose which. :(

Europe opened uninspired but seems to have taken a corner now, our market following.  Nonfarm 14:30, until then.

Edit:  US futures vibrating & ready to go.  Now only to get rid of scary cats and with good numbers later , we're might just experience something worthwhile.

Edit:  Nonfarm better than expected @ 195K vs 165K, prev 175K.  Unemployment rate up 7.5% to 7.6%, markets seem happy.

Edit:  Make up your mind dammit.

I could SaiyanZ :) but I've got a lot of pensioners in my club so I'll have to go with 'respectable' gains, but with a twist I think.

Asia mostly red but not hysterically so after Chinese non-manufacturing PMI overnight data.  Crude oil @ 101 with ongoing Egyptian tensions.  Today a lot of European PMI data as well plus US non-farm @ 14:15 and initial jobless claims 14:30.

Edit:  As for PMI numbers: French & Spanish better than expected, Italian & German worse.  Day driven negative by Mursi defiance and Portugal's 10yr bond hitting 8%. US markets closing earlier today (13:00), that's SA+6hr for 4th of July Independence day celebrations tomorrow.

Edit:  US non-farm better than expected 160K vs 188K

Edit:  Jobless better than expected by 2K, markets seem to like it.
