a once off payment now and then monthly or when ever I have cash

Is it worth while investing in the SATRIX INDI now ?

if not, what price would be a good buy ?

should i invest directly with satrix on a monthly basis or do it myself directly ?

Hi Guys,

I read an article a few months back  see linkhttp://www.moneyweb.co.za/moneyweb-investment-insights/save-until-your-kids-are--50

I am thinking about doing something similar, My son is 2 months old and this would be the perfect opportunity to save some spare cash for my son.
I worked out that a once off investment of R1000 over 50 years @ 15% return ( inflation inc ) would yield R 1 000 000 or 1 Million, which I worked out to be worth 55k  devalued at 6% over 50 years.

so how do i go about this , is it feasible , how can i ensure that my kid(s) dont use the money before hand.

1. should i invest in a unit trust ( allan gray or coronation )
2. EFT's  , what are my options here ?
3. Buy blue chip stocks ?

Thanks, I see the (nil Paid ) shares reflect on my share account now, If i add all  the shares and divide it by my total cost i come out about a r1 cheaper than the current market price.

why would it drop so low so quickly  ?

Will it go up from here ?

I have till the 12th to exercise my rights @ R2.41

HI J

The rights offer is at R2.41 per share 2:1 ratio

The current share price is just over R7.40

I bought them about them about 3 months ago for R6.48

Good Morning All,

I have just received an AQUARIUS PLATINUM (AQP) rights issue ( bonus Issue ) email from FNB,

What do you recommend ? Do I buy more and how does it work ? Due date 17 April 2014.

Option 1: Sell all or part of your rights (nil paid letters). This can be done through Online Banking at .....

(Please note that instructions to sell will not be attended to, this has to be done through the online banking platform or by calling 0860 742 737)

Option 2: Buy additional rights (nil paid letters) on the market (which needs to be sold by 06th May 2014 or exercised by 12th May 2014)

Option 3: - Exercise your rights. The cost (To Be Announced)

(Please note that in the event that you elect to exercise your rights (nil paid letters), the subscription cost must be credited to your Share Investor Account by the 12th May 2014)

Option 4: - Lapse (Take No Action)

Thanks,

Although GIJ has been doing really bad lately i believe it can turn around, at the price it costs the investment is worth the risk for me, just the big question of how long,
