I thought the 0.45 was the TER? So we actually don't know what the actual costs will be?

That Coreshares S&P EFT is starting to trade on Friday. Could be a lower cost option than DBXUS

Will be a lower cost. DBXUS is very expensive compared to other ETFs

If the market continues to return.16% that is. What is the petiod for that being the average btw? Since JSE inception?

Also, the teacher can't carry on being in the market until the day he retires at 65. He'll have to switch to less volatile safer investments a good couple of years before he retires.

Very true Hamster, it's not fact but belief that rules. Worries me about Trump though.
If Trump wins buy shares in CNN's holding company

Hmm, all that from that small piece of handwriting...

As long as the masses believe it and it in some way helps getting him out of the office (even better, in jail) then I'm ok with it.

Positive in that more allocation is given to larger companies.
Negative in that it's less diverse. But really... 500 odd companies is insane!

Wonder what kind D if dividends the global property ETF will pay. That in your TFSA though will probably still mean foreign taxes will apply.

Nice!

S&P Property have an annualised growth of just over 7% for last 5 years though. Supposed a declining Rand will help but...

hey Hamster .. what is NON???

A spelling mistake.... meant NPN

CSTOP50 looks better with 10% Naspers holding better than the 20+ STXIND has ( As much as i love NPN , too much is a bit risky ! )
STXIND now has NPN @ 32%.... 3% to go before problems

NFEMOM also looks good with resource heavy but should we get downgrade later this year and US raise rates i think these companies will come under pressure right ?

Is an equally weighted option not more of a balanced defensive stance?
I can't predict the future so no idea what will happen with those resource stocks. NFEMOM is re-weighted monthly so maybe it won't be as big a problem. Who knows, right?

The only equally weighted ETFs I like are DIVTRX and PTXTEN.
