Welcome, please do share the means for gaining the big bucks. Mine are missing and I need to replace them.

Not liking the price action on JSE or Dow futures. Would definitely hold off on entering any new longs for now.

Haven't noticed anyone using charts on the competition. Why don't you give it a go?

Care to share your reasoning? I'm still avoiding resources until strike season is over.

It's been a while coming. Should there be a war oil is likely to rise, I wonder if there'll be any effect on gold?

Hmm, that's odd. Are you experiencing that now? For me it's pretty much instant. How long does it take to load for you?

Say what you like, the Germans are pretty much holding Europe together single handedly.

I was never a regular on the other forum so I don't know everyone. What type of trader would you describe yourself as Moneypenny?

There is a finite number of bitcoins available after which no more can be "produced". This could fuel a demand as it would with other commodities, however a bitcoin has no intrinsic value. I wouldn't put any of my investments into something which isn't based on anything that exists in reality.

What about something more realistic. Instead of just listing out shares, what about starting with a fixed amount of cash, and then keeping track of trades to see who can be the overall yearly leader. You could also display a monthly leader-board.

I'm holding following an outstanding 6 month period  :). The p/e is still a reasonable 13.4 and apart from the crash in 08 there's hardly been any retracting.

A number of things. The government is making the wrong noises, labour is edgy, the jse is in a bearish phase and demand for resources is down. It could be worse. If the rand was stronger we'd be in a far tougher situation.
