Does the RMH (RMB) growth make sense?

Hi guys,

Google finance has JSE stocks these days :)

Someone made a nifty excel macro for it too.

http://investexcel.net/google-finance-stock-quotes-in-excel/

Just use the prefix "JSE:", for e.g. "JSE:NPN".

Have you had any luck using this option? My macro-enabled workbook doesn't seem to work.

I think it's usually in the 3rd quarter of every year if at all this year. Last year she was pregnant and had bought a house so it was warned that the numbers won't be as great this year.

I think it's a fantastic idea. And hopefully results won't be shown until at least 100 people participate. I'd happily volunteer to analyse the results from the data as I have a stats background.

As an avid follower of Christo Wiese, I will start to redirect my investments into Brait SE and Shoprite in anticipation of the tie-up with Steinhoff for the African Retail market. Basically, I will continue to focus on opportunities with exposure outside South Africa.

Have a great weekend!

How did this work out for you? Brexit has hit them really hard and I'm starting to wonder whether they'll ever get back to all time highs (which would mean almost doubling their current levels!)?  :'(

That woman is captured. That's probably why JZ insisted the investigation into State capture be deferred to her. I can already imagine how this will play out: criticize Thuli as much as possible (she already started yesterday) so in time she can rubbish her report. Write a new report and declare that there is no State capture.  :(

http://www.businesslive.co.za/bd/national/2016-10-21-new-protector-takes-placatory-stance/

She: "asked that the television channels in the office reception be changed from eNCA to the Gupta-owned ANN7 and told staff that the office existed to work with government and not to be its enemy."  :(

"Insiders say she disagrees with some aspects of the report and the way it was finalised."

The original report will never see the light of day unless it gets leaked.

After this postponement I don't see the PP's report ever being released or, at best, ever being the original version Thuli had prepared and signed.

Garth MacKenzie has this show on Tuesday's at 8:30PM on BDay Tv. He trades his 250K over a year and donates all profits to charity. He's done extremely well over the years.

Returns he's made:
2009: 25.5%
2010: 9.4%
2011: 20.5%
2012: 53.8%
2013: 52.4%
2014: 42.6%
2015: 42.5%

I'm not a trader, just an investor. And I know Patrick is huge on ETF's which I am too. But I'm curious to find out if are there any known news of traders who are genuinely and consistently successful?

Garth is a disciplined beast at this and although his YTD 2016 performance is lower than previous years he has still done immensely well and consistently so but he's the only one I've heard of. I'm wondering if there are more?

Staring at my screen watching my stocks in real life take a proper pounding (excuse the pun) of no less than 5%  :wtf:  :'(

This is freaking me out as I am in the process of moving my stocks from SB to EE mainly because of the costs and I'm starting to wonder if that is a smart move.  :(  :'(

Might have been asked before and perhaps I may be missing something (in which case my bad - still a newbie!), but is there a reason why dividends don't appear to be included in the ETF's in the leaderboard? Doesn't really make for a like-for-like comparison with direct share trades if they don't include them? Or is this too much admin Patrick?

Hi guys. Do any of these traders/analysts who make recommendations on which share to buy, sell or hold ever go back and historically check whether their recommendations were accurate? Even ignoring dividend income and basing it on capital growth only? I'm new to this so perhaps this has been asked and/or answered somewhere else. I see EasyStockPicker has some backtesting methodology they use but it looks complicated
