It's basically a port of my BlackBerry tracking app (http://www.berrylocate.com (http://www.berrylocate.com)) finally moved to android. Also decided to take advantage of the extra features in android to improve it somewhat.
So it's a tracking app, yes I know there are plenty, but none that met my needs, or that were easy enough to use that my mom could figure them out! Quite a few people use the blackberry version, so I'm hoping this one appeals too. It's all completely free of course.
Some of the features I hope will make it a winner:
• Locate your phone or tablet.
• View the location of your phone or tablet from another Android device or a PC.
• View the location of your friends or family members.
• Track devices using GPS or Network positioning to save battery or when indoors.
• Share your location live on the internet.
• Record waypoints as you travel.
• View your location history by going back to a specific day and time.
• Send an SOS with your location via SMS and email.
• Set boundaries (Geo-Fences) which send an alert when crossed into or out of.
• Set a speed limit which sends an alert when broken.
• Create a trip using part or all of your days travels, and share with friends.
• Set your tracking interval when moving or when stationary to optimize battery life.
I don't want to share the download link just yet, I'd rather do that once it's on the play store, but if anyone is keen I'll happily PM it to them.
Here's some screenshots:

Very nice, I'm using iOS unfortunately, can't utilize. :(

Very cool, love the geo fences. Once saw a poc with geo fences where they herded sheep, by putting a device around there necks,
that included a buzzer and speaker. If they came within a certain distance of the geo fence the get buzzed, even closed and alarm went
off. Eventually they basically just stayed within the geo fence boundries :D

I see a business opportunity: Build a geo fence app for parents of teenagers to keep them away for ‘that girl’ or ‘that place’. :D
-
Yes, and then for more business another geo-fence for the teenages to send a message "get dressed fast, her dad is coming"!

I would love to try it out, unfortunately I am just not a fan of cell phones - I find them intrusive. But useful when you do need them - so have a small, light, cheap "dumb" phone that fits in my pocket and the charge lasts over a week. It has so few features that I think "torch" was listed at number two! :D
-
So one month in and just over 1000 users :)
