Title: Dividends - Rands or cent
Post by: marguerittereed on October 09, 2015, 12:58:19 pm
The dividend declarations are very confusing, some companies will say 292.3025 cents, are these figures R292.30 or R29.23 or .29 cents. Very confusing for this newbie :wall: :wall: :wall:

It's cents, the only difference would be foreign shares in US or UK cents.

And if you find a share that pays R292.30 per share on the JSE, please let me know, I'd want to buy it haha!

292.3025 looks like it will be R2.923025 per share. So, on 1'000 shares, you'll get R292.30 total.

Just divide the number by 100 i.e. 292.3025/100=R2.923025
