Blackwater Global

(1/1)

Petra:
I was phoned by a person from Blackwater Global, introducing themselves as a professional broker, and I followed their advice and bought some shares (US company shares). I then decided I wanted to sell and asked them to sell them, they are now giving me a problem and say I have to pay in more money before they can sell the shares as they bought them as an institutional block. What do I do at this point.  does anyone know of someone I can talk to about this.

gcr:
Try a lawyer

Patrick:
It sounds like a scam to me. I would google all the details you have on the company, peoples names, phone numbers, email addresses and see if you get any hits. Then ask them to show you where in their contracts it talks about "institutional blocks". I think they'll just give you the run around.

I hope it wasn't too much money, as I suspect it's going to be school fees. The general rule is that if someone phones you to give you an investment opportunity, it's not going to be a good investment opportunity.

I also see they like to advertise (SPAM) in the comments section on the SA council for the blind: http://www.sancb.org.za/article/our-new-fax-number?page=5

It's not a good sign

SCAM ALERT!!! SCAM ALERT !!!! Never send any money to Blackwater Global because you will not see it again, no matter what they promise you. These are masters in taking peoples hard earned money. Never make the mistake to trust these people
