Metair. Titan or Titanic?
« on: October 10, 2013, 03:44:05 pm »
http://www.moneyweb.co.za/moneyweb-investment-insights/are-these-shares-the-future-titans

That was posted by gcr I think.
Written on 7 Oct and today their acquisition SENS lifted the share by over 6%.  Acquired a battery factory in Turkey for R2.2B. This will add capacity to their Rombat green stop/start plant in Rumania.
Surely a future Titan. All cars in the UK and US must use these batteries in 2 years time.
They have ®© on their sophisticated batteries.  MB and BMW are on board already.
Now to wait. Bought at 2480.
I started here with nothing and still have most of it left.

Up 16.6% since YESTERDAY and still climbing. Should have gone long with the SENS announcement. It was a no brainer.

With the above gains and MTA looks to beat CML over time, my move to Portugal seems nearer. Another 15% will put me at my target to start my move. :)

This should be to MTA's advantage as well?:

They have managed to seal the deal and bought all outstanding shares. This acquisition is now costing R2.27B (or was it 2.7) and will surely hurt their results for next year but investors will see the future value and stick it out to reap the rewards later.
Coronation acquired 5.36% of Metair off market for Kagiso. They had to do it off market as there were not enough shares available at market. You can rest assured that Coronation as the best Fund Managers out will have made their sums with the due diligence before the acquisition.
This is a medium to long term winner. The only stock that I would buy and chuck in the bottom draw and not worry about it.

Just noticed a problem. She left a gap at 3580. MTA is not a trading stock as such but if traders are there, they might just force the price down to close this gap. ie, They go short (sell) until it reaches 3580 and then close their shorts (buy) and it goes back up again.

Seems like all the big guns are buying up MTA. Here is another SENS made today.

NOTICE OF AN ACQUISITION OF A BENEFICIAL INTEREST IN METAIR INVESTMENTS LIMITED

In accordance with Section 122(3)(b) of the Companies Act, No 71 of 2008, as amended and paragraph
3.83(b) of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements, Metair shareholders are advised that the Company has
received notification that Coronation Asset Management (Pty) Ltd (?Coronation Asset Management?),
on behalf of its clients, has acquired a beneficial interest in securities (?the Acquisition?).

Following the Acquisition, Coronation Asset Management now holds 9.34% of the issued ordinary share
capital of the Company.

:wtf: Was it me or Coronation or perhaps Investec that caused this sudden surge?  :LHST:
Reminds me about one guy on the other forum saying I was promoting CML to the extent that it rose from R12 to where it is now.
