Shares / 150 Star bucks stores in RSA?

Look you will always find the pretension coffee connoisseurs who prefer their beans to pass through the digestive system of a civet, however Starbucks is a great concept and one store which I always frequent at when in the UK. Provided that the service is up to par, meaning less waiting times then I think they might be a real value.

Well I have been eyeing Distell as a possible buy and hold since 2010, yes I know I should have bought it when it was trading close to 100, but based on the article they might be a value investment case.

Shares / Coreshares Proptrax Question
« on: December 31, 2015, 09:27:15 am »
Hi Guys, I have started to give some serious thought of moving into EFT's especially both Coreshares's Divtrax and Proptrax.
One quick question, do you have to pay tax on an EFT like Proptrax as they consist mainly REIT's.

On normal dividends received the tax is already paid to SARS but on REIT as I understand it one has to include the dividends received from REIT's on one's tax return, does the same apply to EFT's where the majority shares are REIT's?

Also would it make better sense then to keep REIT's in invest in a TFSA account?

Shares / Remgro possable buyout of Distell
« on: October 22, 2015, 07:00:24 am »
Hi Guys,

Came across this article on moneyweb.

http://www.moneyweb.co.za/news/companies-and-deals/remgro-keen-on-sabmillers-stake-in-distell/

This share was on my radar as a buy and hold stock but now I am not so sure, if Remgro intends to own the controlling share of Distell wont it be better to just buy Remgro instead of Distell seeing as Remgro is more deversified.

Shares / Freedom Property Fund - Value share?
« on: October 16, 2015, 01:04:11 pm »
Hi guy's

Freedom Property Fund currently trades at around 18 cents and has a NAV of 130.4

With the astronomical success of Calgro, can Freedom  replicate a similar achievement over a long period of time say 5 to 8 years.
I am not fond of penny shares as most of them trade low for a reason, but this company stands out for me or perhaps a am a little too greedy today.

Whats your opinion on this company?
